Hot on the heels of the Nothing Phone (3a) series and the CMF Phone 2 Pro, Carl Pei’s tech startup is back to stirring up the hype machine. The spotlight now shifts to the highly anticipated Nothing Phone (3), and this time, it might just live up to the buzz.
Known for its eye-catching transparent design and minimalist aesthetic, the Nothing Phone series has long been a darling of tech nerds and design snobs alike. But let’s face it; it’s the more affordable ‘a’ series and CMF-branded smartphones that have truly caught fire with everyday users. In 2025, Nothing seems determined to flip the script.

Carl Pei has confirmed a Q3 2025 launch window, and the company has now dropped two emoji-laden teasers on X (formerly Twitter). A phone and a not-so-subtle ‘3’. Not exactly a riddle, but enough to get the forums buzzing.
Nothing Phone (3a) launch teased: A premium refresh with a smarter twist
While we’re still a few weeks out from the official unveiling, rumours are doing the rounds and they point to a smarter, sharper Nothing Phone (3). AI is the name of the game this time. The new model is expected to bring in features like the Essential Key and Essential Hub (both seen on the 3a), but with more polish.
Spec-wise, leaks suggest a 6.5-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone will probably feature either a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 or Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. The camera setup could see a serious glow-up too, possibly with the addition of a telephoto lens, marking a first for the series.
Of course, all of this remains unofficial, so take it with a pinch of salt. But if these leaks pan out, the Nothing Phone (3) could be more than just a pretty face.
