The Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition has been introduced as a special variant of the standard Phone (3a). Nothing highlights that this model incorporates ideas submitted by creators worldwide, covering hardware styling, accessories and software elements. Only an overview was shared at launch, with the main developments becoming clear across its unique design, specifications and restricted sale plan.
Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition’s unique design explained
Although based on the regular Phone (3a), the turquoise coloured-Community Edition features a distinct appearance shaped by creator Emre Kayganacl. The rear panel and packaging draw influence from late 90s and early 2000s technology, echoing the translucent handheld gaming devices of that period to deliver a retro yet modern aesthetic.
A new accessory category debuts with Dice designed by Ambrogio Tacconi and Louis Aymonod, featuring digits in the brand’s Ndot 55 font. For the interface, designer Jad Zock created a new lock screen clock and a set of wallpapers in blue and purple that link the phone’s exterior treatment with Nothing OS visuals.
Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition specifications
The Community Edition retains the core specifications of the regular Phone (3a). It offers a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to 3000nits peak brightness. It runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
