OnePlus 15s may pack a significantly larger battery than OnePlus 13s

OnePlus made its first attempt at launching a compact flagship phone by introducing the OnePlus 13s in India. We reviewed it and found it to be an impressive phone with excellent design, performance, and battery life, though it misses out on a few features like an ultrawide lens and wireless charging.

A new leak that has emerged now claims that the upcoming OnePlus 15s may pack a significantly larger battery as compared to its predecessor.

OnePlus 15T / OnePlus 15s to bring performance upgrades

The OnePlus 13s, introduced in India in June this year, was a slightly modified version of the OnePlus 13T, which debuted exclusively in China. Similarly, the upcoming OnePlus 15s is expected to be based on the OnePlus 15T.

According to Chinese tipster Smart Pikachu, who has a decent track record for smartphone leaks, the OnePlus 15T will continue to offer a compact form factor with a 6.3-inch display featuring a wide screen and larger corners, offering a better visual appeal.

The Plus key, which debuted on the OnePlus 13T / 13s, will return on the 15T as well. This physical, multi-function button is expected to offer quick access to OnePlus AI features. This remappable button was introduced as a replacement for the traditional Alert Slider, which has been a pivotal feature on OnePlus phones since its first phone.

Qualcomm’s latest and most powerful chip, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, will power the OnePlus 15T, indicating that it will offer a major boost in performance. It is also tipped to feature a massive battery of around 7,000mAh.

Other expected enhancements include a metal frame for improved durability and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, which works reliably even with wet, oily, or dirty fingers.

The tipster has claimed that the OnePlus 15T will launch in March or April in China. There’s a possibility that the OnePlus 15s, which is likely to be based on the 15T, may hit the Indian market around June 2026.

The above leak hints that the OnePlus 15s will not only get a very powerful chip, but also feature a significantly larger battery than its previous generation. Additionally, other reports have also claimed that the OnePlus 15s / 15T will feature an ultrawide camera, a feature that was absent on the previous generation.

In India, the OnePlus 15s is expected to face competition from the Vivo X300 FE, which is also expected to launch next year as a compact flagship phone.
