Oppo Find X9 Ultra’s first teaser released, global launch in April confirmed

Oppo has officially confirmed the Find X9 Ultra, which is scheduled to debut globally in April. Ahead of the launch, the brand has started rolling out its teasers to give a glimpse of its design. At the same time, the rumour mill has revealed several details of what Oppo’s ultimate camera smartphone could offer.

Here's the first Oppo Find X9 Ultra teaser

Shown above is the first official teaser, which showcases the Oppo Find X9 Ultra’s Quick Button sporting an attractive orange shade. Oppo has hinted at a major imaging upgrade by describing the device as one that brings Hasselblad-level photography into a smartphone form factor. Oppo’s Find series product head, Zhuo Shijie, recently shared a teaser on Weibo featuring a Hasselblad medium-format mirrorless camera, subtly pointing towards the imaging ambitions of the upcoming flagship.

Reports have revealed that the Find X9 Ultra may feature a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with native 10x optical zoom, which could be an industry-first implementation. The aperture of this lens is said to be f/3.5, allowing significantly higher light intake compared to existing solutions, reportedly delivering around three times more light than the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

In addition to the 10x zoom camera, the device is also tipped to include a 200MP 3x periscope lens, which is expected to offer improved light capture in its segment. Apart from dual periscope telephoto cameras, the rear camera setup will also have a 200MP Sony LYT-901 main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 3.2MP multispectral sensor for colour accuracy.

As far as India is concerned, there is no clarity yet on whether it will be released in the country. While the global launch is confirmed, the India launch remains uncertain as it is yet to pass BIS certification.
