Next month (March), Oppo is expected to announce a couple of new flagship phones in China. These include the Find N6 foldable phone, the Find X9 Ultra, X9s, and X9s Pro. As expected, the Ultra edition is tipped to offer an ultimate photography experience.
The rumour mill has already revealed details about its camera capabilities in recent reports. Now, a new leak suggests that its testing unit supports a higher refresh rate than its predecessor.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra display, battery details emerge
To recall, last year’s Oppo Find X8 Ultra featured a 6.82-inch OLED screen with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Reports suggest that the display size may remain unchanged on the Find X9 Ultra. According to a recent X post by tipster Yogesh Brar, its EVT (Engineering Validation Test) unit’s display supports a 144Hz refresh rate.
The tipster added that the Find X9 Ultra’s retail unit may support only a 120Hz refresh rate. Apart from this, he also mentioned that the device will pack a 7,050mAh battery, which is significantly larger than the X8 Ultra’s 6,100mAh battery. However, it will be smaller than the Find X9 Pro’s 7,500mAh unit.
As per other reports, the Find X9 Ultra will support 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. Under the hood, it is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. To put this into context, the Find X9 and X9 Pro feature the Dimensity 9500.
The Find X9 Ultra’s rear camera setup is expected to include a 200MP main camera with OIS support, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 6x optical zoom. For selfies, it will feature a 50MP front camera with autofocus support. It is expected to arrive in three shades: orange, black, and brown.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra India launch rumours
Rumours are rife that the Find X9 Ultra is also heading to other markets, including India. Likely, the global release may take place in the second quarter of this year. The brand may also introduce the Dimensity 9500-powered Find X9s compact flagship phone alongside it.
