Oura entered the Indian market last week by unveiling the Oura Ring 4, which was originally announced for the global market in October 2024. In a new development, AndroidHeadlines has revealed that the Oura Ring 5 is already underway. The early leak points to subtle changes in design and improvements under the hood.
Oura Ring 5: Refined design with new colour direction
The Oura Ring 5 appears to carry forward the brand’s minimal approach, but with a slightly more rounded outer profile. This change makes the ring look closer to traditional jewellery while also reducing the chances of scratching nearby devices. The transition between the outer metal and inner resin section also seems smoother than before.
One of the more noticeable updates is the introduction of a new “Deep Rose” finish, which replaces the earlier Rose Gold option. This new shade leans more towards a bronze tone. Alongside this, the ring is expected to be available in gold, silver, and black variants. The silver option may come in both glossy and brushed finishes, while the matte black version is likely to carry a Stealth branding.
While the overall look remains familiar, the internal hardware of the smart ring is where key improvements are expected. The optical sensors inside the ring appear larger, and there are indications of enhanced red and green LEDs. These changes could lead to better accuracy in tracking metrics like heart rate and blood oxygen levels, though full details are still unclear.
Interestingly, Oura is said to retain its existing charging setup, including the standard dock and portable charging case. Battery life is also expected to remain in a similar range as the current model, which typically lasts several days on a single charge.
Oura Ring 5 launch timeframe (rumoured)
The Oura Ring 5 is unlikely to arrive before late 2027, aligning with the company’s slower upgrade cycle. For now, this leak suggests that Oura is focusing on refining its existing formula rather than making drastic changes.
