OnePlus Nord 3, OnePlus 11R get Android 16-based OxygenOS 16

Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 has been out for a while, but it has only reached the newer phones so far. Now, however, it’s rolling out for older devices, and the most recent ones to get it are the OnePlus 11R and the OnePlus Nord 3. Here’s everything new, and how you can install it on your device.

Everything new with OxygenOS 16, how to install it

The OxygenOS 16 for the OnePlus 11R carries the CPH2487_16.0.1.300 (EX01) firmware version, and it has a size of 3.51GB. The update for the Nord 3 carries the CPH2491_16.0.2.400 (EX01) firmware version, and it has a slightly smaller size.

Both these updates are based on Android 16, and they bring the November 2025 security patch. Now, as to what comes with this update, the update brings fluid animations and improved user experience. The 11R now gets support for Parallel Processing and Trinity Engine.

Furthermore, the update features AI enhancements, including Mind Space, AI-powered Photos, and more. OxygenOS 16 also introduces improved integration of Gemini across the UI, making things more convenient.

Now that you know about its features, here’s how you can update your device to OxygenOS 16.

Since this is an OTA update, you should receive an update notification. But if you don’t you get it, you can always update manually. Here’s how.

Step 1: Open Settings on your OnePlus Nord 11R/Nord 3.

Step 2: Navigate to Software update.

Step 3: Check for new updates, and you should ideally see the new OxygenOS 16 update.

Step 4: Just hit update, and your device will be updated to the newest OxygenOS 16.
