Sony has wrapped up its PlayStation State of Play broadcast, and it had showcases of a bunch of new games. This includes new trailers and announcements and updates on existing titles like Borderlands, Lies of P, and more. There’s also a new Sonic racer incoming and and an action adventure title from Capcom. Here’s everything major announced at the PlayStation State of Play February event.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic
State of Play had a showcase of Steel Wood’s another installment of Five Nights at Freddy’s. Titled Secret of the Mimic, the horror adventure title is coming to both PS5 and PS VR2 in June. The gameplay trailer reveals the in-game characters, objectives, and everything that you can expect to encounter in the game.
Monster Hunter Wilds
Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds made it to the State of Play broadcast, and it’s releasing on February 28. The four-minute-long trailer of the game showcased all the colossal foes in the game, alongside new weapons and armours.
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds
Sega showcased a new Sonic game – Sonic Racing CrossWorlds. It’s a four-wheeled Sonic racer that introduces Travel Rings, allowing players to travel from one world to a completely new location during races. It also has a special RPG-like gadget feature, letting players select unique perks to deploy on the racing track. The game is set to release on both PS5 and PS4 later.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
Konami gave gamers a glimpse of its Metal Gear Solid 3 remake. The new remake called Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is coming to PlayStation 5 on August 28. The trailer gave players the first in-game look at the Cobra Unit and revealed that the Snake vs Monkey minigame mode is returning.
Lies of P: Overture
Lies of P made it to the State of Play broadcast, with makers announcing a new DLC called Lies of P: Overture. The DLC will be a prequel, transporting users into the city of Krat back to its grandeur, before its collapse. In Overture, you follow the Legendary Stalker and journey through Krat’s hidden secrets and face epic battles.
Borderlands 4
Gearbox’s upcoming looter-shooter title Borderlands 4 made it to the State of Play broadcast, and the game is confirmed to arrive on September 23. The trailer reveals that players can ready themselves to witness intense action and new abilities on Kairos.
Tides of Annihilation
Eclipse Glows’ revealed its new game – Tides of Annihilation. It’s a new single-player action-adventure game that takes you into a shattered, mystical London, where you take on the role of Gwendolyn. She possesses the power of a mysterious gray mist that can manifest two spectral knights at her side. The game will be available soon on PS5, however, there’s no release date yet.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
For all those Yakuza fans out there, we saw a new spin-off title at State of Play, dubbed Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. The game features fan-favourite characters like Goro Majima, among others. The game’s PS5 demo will be available for experience on February 14.
Apart from this, there were many other game announcements and updates, like the new puzzle platformer Darwin’s Paradox, Days Gone Remastered, new Sci-fi titles like Lost Soul Aside and Metal Eden, and more.

We also saw a new Digimon game called Digimon Story: Time Stranger, followed by a new island for WWE 2K25, Supermassive Games’ Directive 8020, and finally Housemarque’s Saros.
