Poco is officially spinning up a new tablet, the Poco Pad M1, which has just surfaced in a flurry of international certification filings. This is the classic signal that a product launch is just around the corner.
The device bears the model number 2509ARPBDG, and it’s just got its stamp of approval from the UAE’s TDRA database. The specs suggest that the Poco Pad M1 is almost certainly a rebranded Redmi Pad 2 Pro, a tablet that Xiaomi’s other sub-brand launched just last month in September.
Good specs with a bunch of accessories
It’s not just the tablet itself getting certified. A pair of matching accessories, officially dubbed the “Poco Pad M1 Keyboard” and the “Poco Focus Pen” stylus, have also been spotted making the rounds. These optional extras have been approved by the TDRA and have also shown up in certification databases in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
It’s a very safe bet these will be sold separately. This move clearly shows Poco isn’t just releasing a simple media slate but is aiming to build a full productivity ecosystem to compete.
Assuming the M1 truly is the Redmi Pad 2 Pro in a new costume, we already know exactly what we’re getting. The spec sheet is pretty beefy for what will likely be a value-oriented device. We’re looking at a huge 12.1-inch LCD panel. This screen sports a sharp 1600 x 2560 pixel resolution and a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It should also get plenty bright for indoor use with a 600-nit peak brightness.

Inside, the tablet will run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. This is a solid mid-range workhorse that should handle multitasking and most gaming just fine. This processor will be paired with flexible memory and storage options, likely 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
The battery is a large 12,000 mAh. It supports 33W fast charging to fill it up and even features 27W reverse wired charging. Cameras are simple and functional. You get an 8-megapixel sensor on the back and another 8-megapixel one on the front.
The whole package is rounded out with four Dolby Atmos-powered speakers and the latest Android 15 software running Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 skin on top. Again, these specs are based off the Redmi Pad 2 Pro so take them with a pinch of salt.
