Realme GT 8 series to launch next month with pro-grade hardware

Realme has teased the launch of its next GT series phones. Successor to the GT 7, the Realme GT 8 series will launch next month with pro-grade hardware. Some of its expected features include a new design, a fast display, and a mix of MediaTek and Snapdragon performance. Here’s all you need to know.

Realme GT 8 launch timeline, expected features

The upcoming Realme GT 8 series is confirmed to launch next month, and is rumoured to go official in early or mid-October. However, there’s no exact release date, but we do know that it will be a China-exclusive launch for now. Soon, it may go global in the EU and India.

According to reports, the series will comprise at least two phones, the Realme GT 8 Pro and the vanilla GT 8. Although both will be performance-centric phones, the former may offer unmatched hardware in any Realme phone yet.

Rumours suggest the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, which will be Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship SoC. Expect up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The device is expected to pack a battery as big as a 7,500 or 8,000mAh, paired with 100W fast charging.

The screen could be sized 6.78 inches with high refresh rate support. It may get a triple-rear camera system with a 50MP main sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto unit, and a 50MP ultrawide sensor.
