Realme GT 8 Pro’s swappable camera module, colour variants revealed

Realme is all set to unveil the Realme GT 8 series on October 21 in China. Today, the brand officially confirmed the GT 8 Pro’s rear design and colour options. What’s interesting about its design is that it comes with a swappable camera module.

As can be seen above, the Realme GT 8 Pro will be available in three shades, such as white, blue, and green. The company has confirmed that the blue and green editions have a paper-like finish on the back.

According to Realme, the GT 8 Pro is the industry’s first smartphone to feature swappable lens modules. Users can switch between round and square camera module designs. The device comes with a circular camera deco by default, and for first-time buyers during the initial sale in China, Realme will include a special gift pack containing a metal square camera deco and a matching protective case.

Realme will also announce the GT 8 alongside the GT 8 Pro on October 21. It is unclear whether the standard edition will also support interchangeable camera modules.

Realme GT 8 series expected specifications

Realme has officially confirmed that the Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro will feature a 2K 144Hz OLED display, promising a top-notch viewing experience. These phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite and 8 Elite Gen 5 processors, respectively.

Both phones are said to pack a 7,000mAh battery with 120W wired charging. However, only the Pro model may support 50W wireless charging.

The GT 8 series is expected to feature a 50MP main lens with OIS, backed by different camera sensors and Ricoh optimisations. While the GT 8 will have a 50MP periscope camera, the Pro version will be equipped with the more advanced Samsung HP5 200MP periscope camera.

The Realme GT 8 series will run on Realme UI 7 based on Android 16. Both phones are also said to include an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor and a metal middle frame.
