Rockstar Games has finally brought Red Dead Redemption for Android and iOS. Even better, if you are already paying for Netflix, you can grab the western epic right now without spending any extra on top since it just dropped into the subscriber library. For everyone else, picking it up on the App Store or Google Play is going to cost Rs 3,300.
John Marston’s adventure, now on the tiny screen
Normally, the base game is the journey of John Marston hunting down his old gang to save his family. But this new release also comes packed with Undead Nightmare, the standalone expansion that’s all about stopping a zombie plague.
Rockstar also says they reworked the interface with mobile-friendly touch controls so you aren’t fighting the screen while trying to aim. That said, there is a bit of a bummer: you have to stay connected to the internet to play.
It’s not just mobile gamers being treated, though, as the console versions have received a facelift as well. These upgrades are now live for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch 2 are live as of writing.

They include support for 60 FPS, HDR support, and resolution bumping up to 4K on the newer consoles. The Nintendo Switch 2 version is particularly interesting since it utilises DLSS to keep things fluid and actually supports mouse controls.
The best part about this is the upgrade path. If you own the older versions on PS4, Xbox One, or the original Switch, this is totally free. You do not have to buy it again. You can even bring your old save files along, so you can pick up right where you left off.
