Redmi 15C leaked renders show design overhaul, new colours

Xiaomi’s budget playbook might just be getting its next update. The Xiaomi Redmi 15C, the successor to last year’s Redmi 14C, is gaining attention before its expected worldwide launch. Leaks suggest it will feature a significantly updated design and minor changes to its specifications. Here’s what’s likely coming to this upcoming budget phone.

Redmi 15C renders leaked, design revealed

Leaked renders of the Redmi 15C show off a redesign that ditches the circular camera layout of its predecessor for something a bit more squared-off and clean. Literally. The Redmi 15C’s camera island now takes the form of a rounded-square module tucked neatly into the top-left corner of the rear panel, housing two vertically stacked lenses and an LED flash in a minimalist layout. It’s a shift that makes the phone look just a bit more considered, and a little less budget.

Colour-wise, the Redmi 15C isn’t afraid to show off. If the leaks hold true, expect options like Midnight Black, Moonlight Blue, Twilight Orange, and a leafy green variant (name unknown) to hit the shelves with typical Redmi flair; dialled up just enough to give the phone personality.

What the certification leaks reveal

Beyond aesthetics, there are a few key details trickling in from certification sightings. According to a report by Xpertpick, the Redmi 15C has already made an appearance on Thailand’s NBTC database under the model number 25078RA3EA.

And right beside it? The Poco C85 (model number 25078PC3EG), suggesting the two might share more than just a launch window. You can expect identical internals dressed in different skins, and it wouldn’t really be the first time this is happening.

What’s likely under the hood? Early regulatory listings (FCC included) hint at a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD, a 6,000mAh battery, and 33W fast charging, which is becoming a nice-to-have even at this price tier.

The phone is also tipped to boot HyperOS 2, Xiaomi’s new Android 15-based interface. RAM and storage are expected to start at 4GB + 128GB, which is a sensible combo for the entry-level crowd.

Redmi 15C launch timeline

Both the Redmi 15C and Poco C85 are confirmed to be LTE-only affairs; no 5G here, which places them firmly in the affordable segment. That said, their appearance across databases in Thailand (NBTC), Europe (EEC), and Singapore (IMDA) points to a release that spans more than just Xiaomi’s usual budget strongholds.

And then there’s the subtle clue embedded in the model numbers “2507”, possibly indicating a July reveal. While that’s still speculative, one thing is quite clear, Redmi’s next C-series device is nearly ready to roll out.
