Priced just Rs 2,000 apart, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ and the Oppo Reno 15 5G arrive with very different priorities. The Redmi plays the dependable all-rounder card, leaning on a massive battery and a tougher, more utilitarian build. The Reno, on the other hand, wears its camera-first ambitions proudly on its sleeve. Still, the Redmi’s 200MP main sensor gives it enough photographic credibility to make this a fair fight.
So, how do they stack up when you start zooming in? Let’s find out.
Redmi Note 15 Pro+ vs Oppo Reno 15 5G camera zoom test
At 1x, both phones deliver sharp, detail-rich images, but the Oppo Reno 15 5G edges ahead. Its photos show better dynamic range and more balanced exposure, while the Redmi tends to slightly crush shadow detail, losing a bit of nuance in darker areas. You can check out the camera samples in the video below.
Things get more interesting at 3.5x. This is where hardware matters. The Reno 15’s dedicated telephoto lens produces clean, crisp results that hold up well on closer inspection. The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus relies on digital zoom at this level, and while it’s serviceable, it lacks the clarity and finesse of true optical zoom.

Push both phones further, and the gap widens. The Redmi tops out at 30x digital zoom, but images at this range are more novelty than practical use.
The Oppo Reno 15, thanks to its telephoto setup, delivers noticeably more usable and detailed shots at the same 30x level. It even stretches all the way to 120x zoom. All in all, the Oppo Reno 15 5G is the superior camera when it comes to zoom photography chops.
