Redmi Pad 2 Pro variants, price surfaced ahead of next week’s launch

Redmi has a major launch event lined up for India next week. The brand is scheduled to announce the Redmi Note 15 series and the Redmi Pad 2 Pro on January 6, 2026. The tablet will arrive as the company’s latest affordable 5G-enabled offering. A few days ahead of the official launch, a new leak has revealed its pricing details.

Here's how much the Redmi Pad 2 Pro may cost

According to an X post by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro will be available in three variants: 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB. These are tipped to be priced at Rs 25,000, Rs 28,000, and Rs 30,000, respectively.

The base 6GB variant is said to offer Wi-Fi-only connectivity, meaning it will miss out on 5G support. The two 8GB variants, on the other hand, are expected to come with Wi-Fi + 5G connectivity. As per the leak, the tablet will go on sale starting January 12.

Redmi Pad 2 Pro specifications (rumoured)

The Redmi Pad 2 Pro’s specifications are already known, as the tablet has launched in global markets. It features a large 12.1-inch LCD display with a sharp 2.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The device runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 and supports face unlock.

Powering the tablet is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It packs a massive 12,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging and 27W reverse charging. For optics, it houses an 8MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera.

Additional features include quad speakers, stylus support, and a dedicated microSD card slot. In terms of durability, the tablet comes with Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the display and carries an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance.
