Today, one looks beyond mere screen sizes while purchasing a new TV. Another super important consideration while buying one is screen resolution. And if you truly are a stickler for picture quality, check out the new Crystal 4K series of TVs from Samsung.

Samsung Crystal 4K series: Features and key specifications

Samsung’s new Crystal 4K series of LED TVs consists of three models – Crystal 4K Vivid, Crystal 4K Vision Pro, and the Crystal 4K Vivid Pro. The only differentiating factor between the three models are the screen size, and frame design. Depending on the model you choose, the TVs are available in 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, as well as 65-inch and 75-inch screen sizes.

The Crystal 4K series of TVs gets several new features. Some of the most important ones to look out follow:

1. 4K upscaling

4K upscaling is a feature which allows a TV to enhance the original input resolution of any content one is viewing on it, from Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) to 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels). The feature ensures you can watch even old as well as new content in equal clarity, for an immersive viewing experience.

2. OTS Lite

What Object Tracking Sound Lite (Or OTS Lite) does in essence, is track the motion of objects on screen and produces sounds accordingly from the in-built speakers on the TV.

What’s more, it also provides the TV with two more virtual top firing speakers, which offer a 3D-sound experience when coupled with Dolby Digital Plus.

3. Q-Symphony

The Q-Symphony feature allows for the Crystal 4K series of TVs to synchronise the sound output from their speakers with a soundbar, without muting the former. This helps create a louder and richer sound, which makes watching fast-paced action thrillers or cricket matches all the more immersive.

4. SolarCell Remote

The remote on Samsung’s new Crystal 4K TVs is different from traditional TV or smart TV remotes, in terms of how they’re powered. These remotes don’t require batteries at all and can be charged directly via sunlight or even indoor lighting as well. This, in addition to guaranteeing ease of use, is also kinder to the environment.

5. Auto Game Mode

The Crystal 4K series of TVs get an Auto Game Mode and Motion Xcelerator technology, which allows for higher frame rates and low latency, to ensure a lag-free gaming experience, whether on games installed from the app store, or while playing games on your console.

In addition to this, the TVs also get the Samsung TV plus service, which comprises of a 100 TV channels in India, as well as in-built Bixby and Alexa voice assistant support.

The new Samsung Crystal 4K Vivid series starts at Rs 32,990, depending on the screen size you choose, whereas the Crystal 4K Vision Pro series starts at Rs 34,490.
