LG QNED 83 smart TV series launched with AI-upscaling and Dolby Vision

Industry leading brands unveiled the best of electronics early this month at CES 2024. In fact, we had an opportunity to marvel at everything from transparent displays to mini-LEDs in one place.

But if that’s not all, LG has now brought forth its range of QNED 83 smart TV series, which will be powered up using both Quantum Dot and NanoCell technologies. Here’s everything you need to know about this series, which will now be available in India.

LG QNED 83 smart TV: Features to look out for

For one, the LG QNED 83 smart TVs will feature the Quantum Dot Nano-cell display panel, which was showcased at CES 2024. This means you can expect an enhanced colour and contrast output on its 4K resolution display.

LG has further added a smart dimming technology, which will minimise what is otherwise known as the ‘halo’ effect on the screen and give you a more realistic output. It comes with an Alpha7 Gen6 AI processor to give you an artificial intelligence-led upscaling and also with virtual 5.1.2 channels audio.

If you’re a gamer, the QNED 83 series will additionally support a Game Dashboard and Optimiser with refresh rates going up to 120Hz for a more fluid experience. Apart from all this, the TV comes with webOS and will feature content across popular streaming services, such as Netflix, Apple TV, Disney+, Hotstar and Prime Video. It will support multi-view mode for more than one source and will also allow you to switch between side-by-side, picture-in-picture and double-input modes.

LG QNED 83 smart TV: Pricing and availability

The LG QNED 83 smart TV series will be available in both 55 and 65-inch variants; they are currently priced at Rs 1,59,990 and Rs 2,19,990, respectively. The televisions will soon be available for purchase on leading e-commerce portals as well as at a Croma store near you.
