Safe specs, sensible pricing, Samsung polish

Samsung Galaxy A07 5G arrives with a large 6,000mAh battery, software focus

Samsung has expanded its budget 5G lineup in India with the launch of the Galaxy A07 5G. It is a phone that sticks closely to the brand’s recent A-series playbook: dependable basics, conservative hardware choices, and a clear emphasis on software reliability rather than spec-sheet fireworks.

While Samsung has not officially confirmed the chipset used in the Galaxy A07, the global variant runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300. In practical terms, that points to a phone designed for everyday tasks like messaging, streaming, casual scrolling, and light multitasking.

Samsung Galaxy A07 5G sticks to the basics, champions endurance

The Dimensity 6300 powering the Samsung Galaxy A07 5G sits firmly in the entry-level 5G category. It is capable enough for routine use, but it does not try to compete with more aggressive performance-focused rivals in the same price bracket. Samsung appears comfortable with that trade-off, betting instead on optimisation and its familiar software experience to carry the phone.

When it comes to the rest of the specs, Samsung sticks to the basics, but does them with confidence. You get a big 6.7-inch display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, bright enough at 800 nits to stay readable outdoors, even if the HD+ resolution keeps expectations in check.

Camera duties are handled by a 50MP main sensor paired with a simple 2MP depth lens, while selfies come from an 8MP front camera. There’s also a hybrid SIM slot if you want to expand storage via microSD, though it means giving up a second SIM.

Battery life is one of its stronger suits, thanks to a chunky 6,000mAh cell with 25W wired charging. It’s also got IP54 protection, so it’ll survive splashes and dusty pockets without drama.

Running Android 16 with One UI 8, Samsung is promising an impressive six years of Android upgrades and security updates, which is rare at this end of the price spectrum.

Samsung Galaxy A07 5G price and availability

The Galaxy A07 5G starts at Rs 15,999 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. A higher 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model is priced at Rs 17,999. The phone is available in Light Violet, Light Green, and Black colourways.

In a crowded budget segment, competition is stiff. The Samsung Galaxy A07 5G positions itself as the safe choice. A phone that does enough, runs smoothly, and leans heavily on Samsung’s software credibility. Oh, and it has a monster battery. For users who prioritise reliability and endurance over raw specs, that may be reason enough to pick it up.
