The successor to Samsung’s Galaxy Book3 lineup, the Galaxy Book4 series consists of four devices – the Galaxy Book4 Pro 14 and 16-inch models, the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360, and the Galaxy Book4 Ultra. The company says that it aims to elevate user experiences in the Galaxy ecosystem with on-device AI in the form of the Intel Core Ultra processors.

Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro features and key specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro laptops are available in two variants – 14-inch and 16-inch. Both devices will come with either an Intel Core Ultra 5 or Core Ultra 7 processor. In addition to this, they can be configured with either 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and are also available with either a 256GB, 512GB, or a 1TB SSD.

The 14-inch Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro features a 14-inch touch-enabled AMOLED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, a resolution of 2,880 x 1,00 pixels, and a variable refresh rate of between 48 and 120Hz. The 16-inch Galaxy Book 4 Pro, on the other hand, features a 16-inch touch-enabled AMOLED display, again with similar specs as the 14-inch model.

Coming to the keyboard, while the 14-inch model does feature a Pro Keyboard, it misses out on a number pad, which the 16-inch Book4 Pro does get.

The 16-inch Book4 Pro also has a significantly bigger 76Wh battery, as compared to the 14-inch model’s 63Wh battery. Both devices, however, come with a 65W USB Type-C charger.

On the display front, however, the Book4 Ultra doesn’t offer any upgrades over the 16-inch Book4 Pro and the Book4 Pro 360 models. It comes with the same 16-inch touch-enabled AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,880 × 1,800 pixels, a variable refresh rate of between 48Hz and 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 400nits.

The battery is also the same 76Wh unit as the aforementioned models. However, it does come with a 140W Type-C charger.

All four devices come with a dual stereo-quality microphone setup, coupled with quad AKG speakers which support Dolby Atmos.

Connectivity options on the devices are similar too, with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB Type-A port, an HDMI 2.1 port, a 3.5mm jack for headphones/microphones, as well as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth V5.3 support. There’s also a 2MP camera on the front for video calls. All four laptops will come running on Windows 11 Home straight out of the box.

The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro 14-inch and 16-inch models will be available in Moonstone Gray and Platinum Silver colourways, as will the Galaxy Book 4 360. The Samsung Galaxy book4 Ultra, on the other hand, will be available in a sole Moonstone Gray colour option.

The pricing for the laptops has not been divulged as of yet by Samsung and is expected to be announced closer to the sale dates, slated for some time in January 2024.
