Samsung has launched a new smartphone for those on a budget. Dubbed the Samsung Galaxy F17 5G, the smartphone offers features like a sleek design, fast display, and triple cameras. It also boots on One UI 7, which isn’t the newest, but quite feature-rich. Here’s all you need to know.
All about the Samsung Galaxy F17 5G
The Samsung Galaxy F17 5G borrows the design of the Galaxy A17 5G. It sports a 6.7-inch water-drop notch display with an FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate support. The bezels are quite noticeable at the bottom, but the side and top bezels are slim.
The camera is one of the main things people look for in this segment, and the Galaxy F17 5G delivers. It gets three cameras on the rear with a 50MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP macro sensor. There’s a 13MP camera on the front for selfies.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It packs a 5,000mAh battery for an all-day battery life. It also supports 25W fast charging for quick top-ups.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IP54 rating, and support for dual-SIM 5G. Lastly, the device boots on Android 15-based One UI 7 and should get the upcoming One UI 8 sometime later, as the device supports six OS and security updates.
