Samsung is giving India a second shot at the Galaxy S24, this time with the power of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. When the phone first launched earlier this year, most global markets (including India) had to make do with Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2400.
Only a handful of regions such as the US, Canada, China, South Korea, and Hong Kong, saw the Snapdragon flavour. That’s about to change.
Snapdragon power, friendlier price
Fresh leaks and teasers suggest the Snapdragon-powered S24 will debut in India later this month, and here’s the kicker, it’s set to land under Rs 40,000. A teaser campaign by Samsung even flashed a cryptic “Rs 3_,__9” price tag on an e-commerce site. Compare that to the original S24’s launch sticker of Rs 79,999, and you’re looking at a flagship deal at mid-range money.
The Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S24 won’t mess with the formula though. Expect the same sleek design, four colourways (Onyx Black, Marble Grey, Amber Yellow, and Cobalt Violet), and Samsung’s latest Galaxy AI features baked in.

The spec sheet is still solid. It houses a compact 6.2-inch AMOLED display, a 50MP triple-camera setup, and IP68 dust and water resistance.
Samsung Galaxy S24 (Snapdragon variant): Launch and availability
Sales are tipped to start on September 23, just weeks after Samsung unveiled the S24 FE. With this Snapdragon refresh, Samsung is clearly targeting performance-hungry buyers who skipped the Exynos version earlier.
So, under Rs 40,000, the new S24 offers Snapdragon muscle, and all the Galaxy extras. Are you tempted? Let us know in the comments.
