In a world where most smartphones feel like they are a part of a big nuclear family, Samsung has managed to do something unique. It’s latest Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge stands out for its design, and dare we say, personality. Having spent some time with it, here are our S25 Edge first impressions.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge design impressions
We first saw the S25 Edge at MWC 2025, are every bit impressed when holding it in our hands. The device is all about the sleek profile and a minimal design that doesn’t distract you from its highlight.
It’s easy to do a double take when seeing the phone’s thickness (or the lack of it), which should come as no surprise – it is, after all, just 5.8mm thick. At just 163 grams, it is also lighter than most other phones in the market today.
It fits into most pant pockets, and it is almost easy to forget that you have the phone on you. But despite the sleek body and minimal design, at no point does the phone feel flimsy or brittle. So, top points to Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge key features
Beyond the design, the phone features flagship-grade features. These include a large 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which is the same processor powering the entire S25 series. This means, performance levels should be high, but we will reserve our judgements till later.
For photography enthusiasts, there’s a dual-camera setup at the back, which includes a 200MP primary lens and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. Up front is a 12MP camera for selfies and video calls. Again, we will reserve our judgements till we have put the cameras to a proper test.
On the software front, the device runs Android 15 with OneUI on top, and with a myriad of AI features baked in. In the quest to keep the phone slim, the battery capacity (at least on paper) seems to have taken a hit. But it will be interesting to see just how long the 3,900mAh battery lasts in day-to-day usage.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge first impressions
In the short time we have spent with the phone, you can’t help but be impressed with just how slim the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge actually is. But is there more to the phone than just its looks? And can it justify its price tag that starts from Rs 1,09,999?
We will answer these questions and more in our upcoming review. So stay tuned for it!
