Next Samsung flip phone may feature Exynos chip, Android 16

Samsung is all set to launch its foldable phones for the year, and as we get closer to the launch, more details are surfacing.

Additionally, the device may also come with the latest Android operating system and have just enough RAM to run AI features. If you are planning to get Samsung’s upcoming clamshell foldable, continue to read more about the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Everything we know so far about the Galaxy Z Flip 7

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to come with an Exynos chipset, likely the Exynos 2500, as hinted by a Geekbench listing. Usually, Samsung has both Snapdragon and Exynos variants of the phone for different markets. However, it’s unclear if Samsung plans to also launch a Snapdragon variant of the phone this time.

In addition to the chipset, the smartphone is expected to have 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. That’s just enough RAM and storage to run AI features and store all your photos.

What’s interesting is that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may boot on the latest Android 16 OS out of the box. This could be a major selling point since no phones come with Android 16 out of the box, as of yet. Other features of the phone may remain the same, such as the screen size and the cameras.
