Samsung is upgrading its home audio lineup for 2026

At CES 2026 next month, Samsung is rolling out a fresh lineup of audio gear that includes upgraded soundbars, brand-new Wi-Fi speakers, and some genuinely clever multi-device features that could make your whole living room feel like a proper home theatre.

New soundbars, Wi-Fi speakers, and more

Let’s start with the big one. The HW-Q990H is Samsung’s new flagship soundbar, and it’s packing a feature called Sound Elevation that essentially lifts dialogue audio toward the centre of your TV screen.

If you’ve ever struggled to hear what characters are mumbling in a dark drama while explosions blast your eardrums, this is meant to fix that. There’s also Auto Volume, which keeps things consistent across different channels and content types.

That flagship is an 11.1.4-channel system with a main bar, rear speakers, and a dual 8-inch subwoofer that Samsung says delivers powerful bass without hogging too much space.

Samsung is also introducing an all-in-one option called the HW-QS90H for folks who don’t want a separate subwoofer cluttering up their floor. This one has a 7.1.2-channel system with 13 drivers and a built-in Quad Bass Woofer setup. It even has a gyro sensor that automatically adjusts the audio based on whether you’ve mounted it on the wall or plopped it on a table.

On the speaker side, Samsung is bringing out the Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7 as part of their Wi-Fi speaker family. These were designed by Erwan Bouroullec, a French designer known for his minimalist aesthetic, and they’ve got this dot-pattern look that’s meant to blend into your home decor.

The Music Studio 7 is the more powerful option with 3.1.1-channel spatial audio and a super tweeter that can hit frequencies up to 35kHz. The smaller Music Studio 5 is more about looking pretty on a shelf while still delivering solid sound through its 4-inch woofer and dual tweeters.

Perhaps the most useful upgrade across all of this is Q-Symphony, Samsung’s system for getting their TVs and speakers to work together. In 2026, you’ll be able to pair up to five sound devices with a Samsung TV, and the system will analyse your room layout to optimise how audio gets distributed. That means clearer dialogue and better surround effects without you having to fiddle with a bunch of settings.
