Samsung is kicking off a new era of software with the launch of One UI 8, and early adopters can already get a taste through its beta program. Designed to power the next generation of Galaxy devices, One UI 8 is a major shift toward intelligent, context-aware experiences.
Built in collaboration with Google and among the first to adopt Android 16, this release brings an AI-powered interface that adapts to your habits, enhances multitasking, and works seamlessly across phones, tablets, and foldables. Starting with the Galaxy S25 series in select markets, One UI 8 is now available for preview.
A smarter UI is here
With One UI 8, Samsung is introducing a truly multimodal AI agent, one that understands not just your words but your context. Developed in close partnership with Google, this version is one of the first to run Android 16.

It is expected to debut this summer on the latest Galaxy foldables before expanding to more devices. The new UI will adapt to your habits, recognise what’s on-screen, and suggest actions in real time through features like Now Bar and Now Brief.
Beyond AI enhancements, One UI 8 also fine-tunes the interface for different device types, from bar phones to foldables and tablets. Everything feels more fluid, more tailored, and ultimately more helpful.

Security isn’t an afterthought. With Samsung Knox Vault and a user-first privacy approach, you can control how your data is processed, on-device or via the cloud, while keeping sensitive info safe from prying eyes.
One UI 8 also brings real-world improvements. Auracast support lets Galaxy Buds3 and other Bluetooth LE Audio devices connect via QR code. The Reminder app now includes voice input and shared lists, while enhanced Quick Share makes sending files a breeze. Even service centre visits are easier, thanks to NFC-enabled Samsung Account registration.
Galaxy AI’s next chapter is already underway, and you can get early access by joining the beta through the Samsung Members app today.
