Silent Hill 2 Remake may finally come to Xbox

Leaving PS5 exclusivity

Silent Hill 2 Remake may finally come to Xbox

Silent Hill 2 remake was released last year, and it instantly became one of the top horror survival games. But, ever since its launch, it has been exclusive to the PS5 on the console side.

Now, however, as per a new report, the game may soon release for Microsoft’s Xbox consoles, giving Series X and S owners a new horror game to play. Here’s all you need to know about the Silent Hill 2 remake’s Xbox availability.

Silent Hill 2 remake Xbox availability

A listing from the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) confirms that the Silent Hill 2 remake is certified for ‘Xbox Series’ consoles. The rating for the game is M for Mature, which is the same as the PS5 and PC versions. This comes ahead of any official announcement about the game’s Xbox availability from Microsoft or Konami. But it does hint that the game may soon arrive on Xbox.

Unfortunately, we still don’t have a release date or a timeline for the game’s Xbox launch, but it would be great if it comes later this year, probably during the Christmas holidays. But that appears to be a bit far-fetched, as it’s November and we still don’t have any announcements.

Also, it’s unclear if the game will be digital only or will also get a disc version. The Xbox version of the game should have all the features we get on the PS5 version. This also includes better controller compatibility.
