Launched just in time to celebrate Apple’s 50th anniversary, popular accessories company, Spigen, unveiled the Classic LS series of cases for the iPhone 17 Pro lineup.
And the design? Well, it is a clear nod to early Apple computing icons like the Macintosh 128K and the Apple Lisa. The cases hit the nostalgia note almost instantly thanks to their retro Apple aesthetic. Here’s all you need to know.
All about Spigen’s Macintosh-inspired retro case collection
The Spigen Classic LS cases are packed with thoughtful design callbacks. The power button features a tiny “hello”, echoing the original Macintosh boot screen, while the Action Button and volume keys borrow their look from old-school keyboard caps. It’s both quirky and playful, in equal measure.
Functionally, the case doesn’t lean on nostalgia alone. You get full MagSafe support, a built-in Camera Control button, and a dual-layer construction designed to handle everyday drops. Spigen has also added a colourful retro logo and a lanyard cut-out. As a sweetener, buyers receive a matching phone strap free with a Classic LS case purchase (while stocks last).

For now, the Classic LS range is available only for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, priced at $39.99 (roughly Rs 3,600). That feels reasonable, especially when many well-made retro cases push past the $50 mark.
As Apple turns 50, this quirky release feels like a love letter to its early design language. Would you pick one up if it launched in your market? Let us know in the comments below.
