Waiting for Galaxy AI on your phones? You might not have to much longer

These Samsung Galaxy devices are getting Galaxy AI next month

It’s been a little over a month since Samsung unveiled its flagship Galaxy S24 series of smartphones. Two bits about the smartphones, one being seven years of guaranteed software updates and second, Galaxy AI remain their two most talked-about features.

At the same time, however, users of older Samsung Galaxy smartphones have been wondering whether Galaxy AI will make its way to their devices anytime soon, if at all.

Well, we have some good news for you. Samsung has just released a list of smartphones and tablets that Samsung Galaxy AI will be rolled out for, via the One UI 6.1 update. Read on to find out more.

Samsung Galaxy S series

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series of smartphones will be receiving Galaxy AI via the One UI 6.1 update. What’s more, even the company’s budget flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will receive the update.

Whether older devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy S21 series will receive the update, however, remains unknown as of now.

Samsung Galaxy Z series

Samsung’s latest Z series of fold and flip phones, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5 will also receive the one UI 6.1 update, and with it, Galaxy AI. In addition to this, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6, slated to launch sometime in June or July, will also come with Galaxy AI on board straight out of the box.

Again though, whether older Galaxy Fold and Flip phones, including the Fold4 and Flip4, will receive Galaxy AI features, remains unknown as of now.

Samsung Galaxy Tab

Interestingly, smartphones aren’t the only device Samsung is rolling out Galaxy AI features to. Recently, the company rolled out the feature for the Galaxy Buds2 Pro, Galaxy Buds2,  as well as the Galaxy Buds FE.

Now, Galaxy AI will also make its way to some of Samsung’s tablets – namely, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus, and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.

Features to look out for on Galaxy AI

Galaxy AI brings with it several smart AI features from the cloud right onto users’ devices. These include call transcriptions and translations in real time, generation of summaries for documents, generative edit and edit suggestions for images, as well as circle to search – a feature that allows users to search for anything on their screens, without leaving the app.

Galaxy AI will be rolled out to the aforementioned devices via the One UI 6.1 update by the end of March 2024. What’s more, Samsung has confirmed that Galaxy AI will be across 100 million devices by the end of this year. Hopefully, then, the company should add these features to a few more of its older devices.
