ViewSonic’s new projectors bring premium firepower to home theatres and boardrooms alike

ViewSonic is adding some serious firepower to the Indian projector market with the launch of three new models dubbed the ViewSonic X1-4K Pro, X2-4K Pro, and SP7. While the first two are clearly tailored for gamers and home theatre enthusiasts, the SP7 is aimed squarely at schools and boardrooms looking for a reliable workhorse. Here’s everything you need to know about ViewSonic’s latest projectors.

ViewSonic X1-4K Pro and X2-4K Pro: Built for Xbox, ready for anything

The X1-4K Pro and X2-4K Pro don’t just promise 4K, these are projectors with serious entertainment credentials. ViewSonic claims they’re “designed for Xbox”, and they walk the talk with an ultra-low input lag of just 4.2 milliseconds. That makes them ideal for fast-paced console gaming, where even a split-second delay can break immersion.

Both models ship with Google TV baked in, meaning Netflix, YouTube, and JioHotStar are all ready to go from the jump. There’s also voice search built into the remote, along with personalised content recommendations.

Under the hood, you’ll find a 0.65-inch DMD chip from Texas Instruments and a third-gen OSRAM LED engine. The result? Up to 3,300 LED lumens of brightness and 125 per cent Rec. 709 colour gamut. These numbers translate to punchy visuals and vivid colour reproduction, whether you’re mid-battle or mid-binge.

These projectors aren’t short on ports either. HDMI eARC with Dolby and DTS pass-through, USB-C streaming, Bluetooth audio, and 5GHz wireless screen mirroring round out the connectivity list.

As for the optics, the X1-4K Pro features vertical lens shift, a 1.3x optical zoom, and four-corner keystone correction. The X2-4K Pro, on the other hand, is tailored for tight spaces, capable of projecting a 100-inch image from just 1.5 metres away. Both models are TÜV SÜD certified for low blue light emissions, a small but welcome nod to eye health.

And for those keeping score, the projectors can push QHD (1440p) visuals at 120Hz and Full HD (1080p) at a blazing 240Hz. That’s a pretty big deal if you’re into competitive gaming or just want silky-smooth motion.

ViewSonic SP7: For the ones in suits and classrooms

The third model in the lineup, the ViewSonic SP7, isn’t built for gaming. But if your day involves PowerPoint decks or lectures, this one might be more your speed.

With 4,800 ANSI lumens of brightness and a 22,000:1 contrast ratio, the SP7 is designed to shine in well-lit rooms. It supports ViewSonic’s SuperColor tech with five preset viewing modes (Presentation, Standard, Brightest, Movie, and Photo), giving users some flexibility based on content and environment.

The SP7 offers features like Auto Power Off, Instant Activation, a Presentation Timer, and a Blank Timer. These small touches make a big difference in professional settings. It also supports 3D content via HDMI and includes vertical keystone correction for easier setup.

Eco and SuperEco modes help stretch lamp life up to 15,000 hours, cutting down long-term maintenance costs.

ViewSonic X1-4K Pro, X2-4K Pro, SP7 projectors: Price and availability

The ViewSonic X1-4K Pro is priced at Rs 3,60,000 (MRP), while the X2-4K Pro goes slightly higher at Rs 3,90,000. The SP7 is significantly more affordable at Rs 75,000. The projectors are available through system integrators and value-added resellers nationwide.
