Vivo T4R set to launch soon with India’s slimmest quad-curved display on a budget

Vivo’s T-series is about to get a new member. The upcoming Vivo T4R is set to launch in India on July 31, and ahead of the official unveiling, Vivo has teased select specs and design features, with several others surfacing through credible leaks.

While not all details are confirmed, what’s out in the open suggests that the T4R could offer an unusually high-end smartphone experience for its expected sub-Rs 20,000 price. Here’s everything known so far about the Vivo T4R.

Vivo T4R: Expected specs and features

Vivo has confirmed that the T4R will feature a quad-curved display, which makes it the slimmest smartphone with this design under Rs 20,000 in India. The display curves subtly along all four edges; a design flourish more common in high-end flagships.

The phone will be available in two colours – White and Blue – and is teased to feature a pill-shaped rear camera module positioned vertically, along with Vivo’s signature Aura Light Ring on the back for enhanced portrait lighting. In pre-launch promotional material, a centre punch-hole cutout is visible on the front for the selfie camera.

Vivo has confirmed that the T4R will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset; a recently announced 4nm processor designed for upper mid-range performance and power efficiency.

Beyond that, leaked details suggest the phone may come with 12GB of RAM, though this has not been officially verified. Similarly, the operating system is expected to be Android 15 with Vivo’s custom UI layered on top.

Camera details haven’t been confirmed in full, but leaks point to a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with OIS (optical image stabilisation), paired with a 2MP Bokeh lens on the rear. On the front, the T4R is rumoured to house a 32MP selfie camera.

Interestingly, both front and rear cameras are tipped to support 4K video recording, a feature rare in the under-Rs 20K category and likely to appeal to content creators and vloggers looking for sharper footage on a budget.

One of the standout confirmed features is the T4R’s IP68 and IP69 rating; again, a combination not typically found in budget phones. This means the phone should be resistant to both dust and high-pressure water jets, making it a potentially strong option for users who are a bit too clumsy with their phones.

Vivo T4R pricing and launch

While Vivo hasn’t confirmed the exact price, the brand has stated that the T4R will launch under Rs 20,000. Reports suggest the final price could land at Rs 19,999 after applying bank offers or launch discounts.

The official reveal will take place on July 31, where we’ll finally get clarity on all specs, configurations, and pricing tiers.

With its curved glass design, water resistance, Sony camera hardware, and 4K capabilities, the Vivo T4R appears to blur the lines between budget and premium.

While much of the spec sheet remains speculative for now, the features already confirmed suggest Vivo is aiming to shake up the mid-range space with more style and substance than we typically expect at this price. For latest tech updates like these, stay tuned to Unboxed by Croma.
