Vivo is preparing to shake up India’s smartphone scene this July. After months of speculation and whispers, it’s now looking likely that both the Vivo X200 FE and the X Fold 5 will make their debut on July 10, 2025.
Vivo’s recent X200 Pro and X200 models turned heads with their camera-centric approach, coupling Zeiss optics with sleek design. But the X200 FE and X Fold 5 are poised to take a slightly different approach; pushing boundaries not just in photography, but in form factor, durability, and performance.
Vivo X Fold 5: All you need to know
The foldable category has long been teetering on the edge of mainstream appeal. Vivo’s X Fold 5 seems designed to push it closer to the edge, or perhaps, over it.
The foldable will likely feature an 8.03-inch 2K+ AMOLED inner display, paired with a 6.53-inch LTPO OLED outer screen, both clocking in at 120Hz. These offer users a familiar dual-display layout but with an emphasis on slimness. When folded, the device measures just 9.33mm thick; and unfolded, it’s an impressively thin 4.3mm – just shy of the Oppo Find N5’s 4.2mm mark.

Under the hood, the processor remains unchanged though. You can expect the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The star of the show is a massive 6,000mAh battery in its slim body. It features 90W wired, and 30W wireless charging that add endurance to ambition.
Dual 32MP selfie cameras and a triple rear setup including a 50MP main sensor (IMX921), 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP 3x telephoto (IMX882) round out the package.
Vivo X200 FE: All you need to know
Then there’s the X200 FE. Positioned as a more accessible flagship, it blends compact form with high-end features. The 6.31-inch flat OLED display, offering 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate is a boon for those who want a capable display, but in a compact form factor.
Where things get interesting is under the hood. Reports suggest the phone could run on either the Dimensity 9300+ or 9400e chipset. These are MediaTek’s heavy-hitters in the affordable flagship category capable of handling gaming, multitasking, and demanding apps. The 50MP main camera, 50MP telephoto with 3x zoom, 8MP ultrawide, and 50MP selfie camera pack familiar hardware for a flagship, with a focus on delivering competent imaging without leaning too heavily into marketing buzzwords.
Durability and longevity are also a theme. The X200 FE reportedly boasts IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, a 6,500mAh battery, and 90W wired charging; all adding up to a device designed to endure, not just impress. At around 200 grams, it maintains a manageable heft too.
