Vivo X200 FE could be a compact flagship challenger with no battery compromises

The hype around the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro has barely cooled off, and it looks like Vivo’s already gearing up to drop its next stunner. Reportedly dubbed the Vivo X200 FE, this feature-loaded, design-forward smartphone is expected to launch in India as early as July 2025.

The FE (likely short for “Fan Edition”) is tipped to pack premium-grade specs, but at a price that keeps your wallet breathing. And yes, it’s aimed squarely at brands like OnePlus.

According to early leaks, Vivo is targeting that sub-Rs 50,000 sweet spot, a segment where users want near-flagship performance without going full Pro. Think minimal design, bold hardware, and a splash of Zeiss optics for good measure.

Vivo X200 FE: Everything known so far

The Vivo X200 FE is expected to ditch the bulky form factor for something compact and pocketable, possibly featuring a 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, early reports hint at MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ or the newer Dimensity 9400e chipset – both heavy hitters capable of handling multitasking, gaming, and AI workloads with ease.

Powering this setup could be a gargantuan 6,500mAh battery, paired with 90W fast charging, because who has time to hang around the charger anymore? The fact that this compact 6.3-inch smartphone houses a massive 6,500mAh battery indicates that a petite build doesn’t mean you have to compromise on long-lasting endurance anymore.

The camera setup, if the leaks hold true, is where the X200 FE starts to flirt with flagship status. Expect a triple camera stack led by a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary sensor, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide and a 50MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. That’s a lot of high-end photography power for what’s technically a mid-tier phone.

Vivo’s partnership with Zeiss also brings its signature polish to mobile photography, and software tricks like AI Seasonal Portraits could make an appearance. On the front? A sharp 50MP selfie camera, perfect for creators and casual shooters alike.

The Vivo X200 FE is also expected to ship with Android 15 out of the box, topped with Vivo’s FunTouchOS 15. What’s refreshing is the promise (or at least the rumour) of three years of Android updates and four years of security patches. For anyone tired of phones aging out too soon, that’s a serious value add.

Add to that features like IP68/IP69 rating, in-display fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 6, and dual 4G/5G, and you’re looking at a phone that refuses to cut corners, even if the price tag says otherwise.

Vivo X200 FE price in India and expected competition

The Vivo X200 FE is tipped to land between Rs 45,000 – Rs 50,000, putting it in the crosshairs of the OnePlus 13R, Samsung Galaxy A56, and the inevitable slew of ‘flagship killer’ devices in this bracket. Word is, it’ll arrive in two colour options, though exact shades remain under wraps for now.

If the rumours play out, the Vivo X200 FE could be one of the more interesting smartphones in the premium mid-range this year. Powerful enough for enthusiasts yet priced smartly enough to pull in those looking for value picks.
