Vivo is all set to launch the Vivo S50 series in December in China. While the lineup includes the S50 and S50 Pro Mini, the latter is more interesting as it is expected to arrive in other markets, including India, as the Vivo X300 FE.
Today, Vivo’s Product Manager Han Boxiao released the above image showcasing the S50 Pro Mini along with its specifications. This clearly sets expectations for what to expect from the Vivo X300 FE.
Vivo S50 Pro Mini / X300 FE design
The Vivo S50 Pro Mini has a completely unique look compared to existing Vivo phones. It features a horizontal camera module similar to the Apple iPhone Air and Google Pixel phones. The setup includes three cameras and an LED flash.
While the company has not revealed its front design, it is officially confirmed to feature a flat display. For durability, the device is equipped with an aerospace-grade aluminium frame and an IP68/69 rating for dust and water resistance.
Vivo S50 Pro Mini / Vivo X300 FE specifications
Starting from the front, the Vivo S50 Pro Mini features a compact 6.31-inch AMOLED screen that supports a 1.5K resolution. It is powered by the recently unveiled Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, which promises top-notch performance. The same chip also powers the OnePlus Ace 6T (China) / OnePlus 15R (India).
For stutter-free performance, the Vivo S50 Pro Mini will ship with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It will feature a large 6,500mAh battery coupled with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, putting it on par with the X300 series in battery size and charging capabilities.
The S50 Pro Mini will offer a 50MP anti-distortion front camera, and its rear setup will be headlined by a larger primary camera sensor. It will also include a Sony IMX882 50MP periscope telephoto camera, which may offer up to 3x optical zoom.
The device will run on OriginOS 6-based Android 16. Additional features include an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor and an x-axis linear motor for improved haptic feedback while navigating and gaming.
Vivo X300 FE launch timeframe (expected)
While the Vivo S50 Pro Mini is set to launch in China in December, the arrival of the Vivo X300 FE is not far behind. Since it has already been certified in Europe and Indonesia, it is likely to break cover in the first quarter of 2026.
