Vivo Y500 Pro debuts with 200MP dual cameras and 7,000mAh battery

Vivo has officially launched the Y500 Pro in China, a new mid-range smartphone that blends premium camera technology and long battery life with an affordable price point. Over the years, Vivo has been bringing flagship-grade features to its Y-series lineup, and the Y500 Pro continues that trend with a 200-megapixel main camera, a vibrant AMOLED display, and ultra-fast charging support.

Vivo Y500 Pro: Specifications and features

On the front, the Vivo Y500 Pro sports a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals and crisp clarity. The panel supports 3840Hz PWM dimming and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Powering the device is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 chipset, paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, providing reliable mid-range performance for everyday use and gaming. The highlight, however, is the 7,000mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging, allowing users to recharge and enjoy longer screen time between charges quickly.

For photography, the Vivo Y500 Pro features a 200MP Samsung HP5 primary camera with OIS and a 2MP depth sensor on the rear, while the front houses a 32MP selfie camera. It also integrates an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and runs Android 16 based on Vivo’s OriginOS 6 interface.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an IR blaster, and a USB-C port. The device also features an IP64 dust and water resistance rating, measures 7.81mm thick, and weighs around 198 grams.

Vivo Y500 Pro: Price and availability

The Vivo Y500 Pro is available in China in four storage variants, such as 8GB+128GB for CNY 1,799 (~Rs 22,415), 8GB+256GB for CNY 1,999 (~Rs 24,900), 12GB+256GB for CNY 2,299 (~Rs 28,650), and 12GB+512GB for CNY 2,599 (~Rs 32,360). Colour options include Auspicious Gold, Light Green, Soft Pink, and Titanium Black.
