Vivo’s previously released Ultra-branded flagships, such as the Vivo X200 Ultra and X100 Ultra, have received strong praise from critics and users for their premium photography experience, though they were limited to the Chinese market. A new development, however, suggests that the upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra may finally launch in markets outside of China. At the same time, fresh leaks indicate that it could be the only flagship smartphone to feature dual 200MP cameras, setting it apart from competitors.
Vivo X300 Ultra to set a new benchmark in camera photography
In China, the Vivo X300 Ultra is designed to compete with top-tier rivals like the upcoming Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Oppo Find X9 Ultra, and Honor Magic 8 Ultra. According to a new leak by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the X300 Ultra could be the world’s first smartphone to adopt a dual 200MP camera configuration, marking a significant advancement in mobile camera technology.
The tipster further reveals that the phone will feature a 35mm triple-camera system with large sensors across all three lenses, each upgraded over the previous generation. Reports suggest that the X300 Ultra will include a 200MP Sony IMX09E primary camera, a 50MP Sony LYT-828 ultra-wide camera, and a 200MP Samsung HPB telephoto camera.
Notably, the latter two sensors already appear on the Vivo X300 Pro. On the front, the device is expected to house a 50MP selfie camera with autofocus support.
In addition to the upgraded cameras, the X300 Ultra is rumoured to feature a 6.8-inch flat OLED display with 2K resolution. Under the hood, it will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, ensuring flagship-level performance. The rest of its specifications remain under wraps for now.
Vivo X300 Ultra may release in markets outside China
A report by SmartPrix has revealed that the global version of the Vivo X300 Ultra, bearing the model number V2562, has surfaced in the IMEI database, suggesting that Vivo is planning a broader global release. As far as the launch is concerned, it is expected to debut in the second quarter of 2026 in China as well as other markets.

While the IMEI listing doesn’t explicitly confirm an India launch for the X300 Ultra, Vivo is clearly looking to strengthen its position in the country, where it has maintained the top spot among smartphone brands for several consecutive quarters. At present, the company’s primary focus is on the India debut of the X300 and X300 Pro, which are expected to launch in the first week of December.
