Vivo Pad 5e arrives with a smooth display, all-week battery

Recently, Vivo held a major launch event in China to unveil the Vivo X300 series of flagship phones. The same event also marked the arrival of the Vivo Pad 5e, a flagship-grade tablet packed with a huge battery. Here’s everything you need to know about the new tablet.

Vivo Pad 5e: Specs and features

The Vivo Pad 5e comes with an immersive 12.05-inch LCD panel that supports a 2.8K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for content consumption and gaming. The device runs on a tablet-customised version of the OriginOS 5-based Android 15.

The Pad 5e is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, promising strong overall performance. While the base 128GB version has UFS 3.1 storage, the 256GB and 512GB versions come with faster UFS 4.0 storage.

Under the hood, the Vivo Pad 5e houses a massive 10,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. It has a 5MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera. Despite its large battery, the device has a slim profile of 6.62mm and weighs around 590 grams.

On the connectivity front, the tablet offers options like Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB 2.0. Readers should note that it lacks support for cellular connectivity as there is no SIM slot onboard. For productivity, the tablet supports optional accessories like a detachable keyboard and the Vivo Pencil 3 stylus.

Vivo Pad 5e: Price and availability

The Vivo Pad 5e has launched in China in multiple variants: 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 16GB+512GB. These are priced at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs 24,950), CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs 28,690), CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs 32,430), and CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs 37,420), respectively.
