What a condenser is and how it works

The condenser in a refrigerator is mainly responsible for actively removing the heat from inside the fridge and providing cool air to maintain the preferred temperature. It does so with the help of a process called condensation. This process is the reason why condensers are called the cooling stations of the fridge.

You must have noticed coils going around, either at the back or sometimes at the bottom of the refrigerator. What these coils do is that they extract hot air from inside the refrigerator and convert it into a liquid with the help of a substance called refrigerant. This particular substance can be found inside these coils to help with the process.

Subsequently, after condensing the hot air, it passes through the coils of the condenser and is released into the exteriors of the fridge. This particular process helps in cooling the air inside of the fridge. And hence, your food items remain fresh and cold.

Now that you are aware of how a condenser helps keep your refrigerator nice and cold, the next time you are enjoying a cold beverage from yours, remember how the condenser does the job for you.
