Xiaomi is prepping to launch a new tablet in the Pad series. Dubbed the Xiaomi Pad 8, the tablet appears to feature a sleek design and is rumoured to come with bigger batteries. It’s expected to come with a newer Snapdragon chipset and run on the latest Android operating system. Here’s all you need to know.
All about the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 8 series
Xiaomi has shared a teaser poster of the Pad 8 series, and it confirms that the Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro will retain the sleek styling of the existing models. The duo appears to have slim bezels and support for accessories, like the magnetic keyboard and a stylish pen for enhancing your productivity and creativity.
Rumours suggest that both tablets may feature a large 11.2-inch display, matching last year’s screen size. But there could be upgrades in terms of the sharpness and brightness. Expect a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and gaming.
The Pad 8 Pro also made it to GeekBench, and it shows the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and 16 GB RAM, hinting at strong power under the hood. For comparison, the predecessor has the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.
