Perhaps the smartest piece of dental tech around

Xiaomi’s new Toothbrush Pro has a colour screen and a 6-month battery life

Xiaomi has officially unveiled its latest high-tech dental gadget, the Mijia Servo-Sonic Electric Toothbrush Pro. This device pushes beyond standard electric toothbrush features by integrating an LCD colour display directly into the handle. On top of that, it offers truly massive battery life. The catch—you cannot buy it in India.

Packed with technology

The toothbrush operates using a servo-sonic motor that facilitates wide 60-degree sweeping oscillations. Assisting that motor is a built-in six-axis gyroscope. This sensor helps the device identify different tooth surfaces in real-time.

As for the display, it also shows brushing duration, coverage statistics, and plaque detection status as you brush—besides the usual info like battery life.

Safety features are also included to prevent damage from aggressive brushing. A smart pressure sensor detects when excessive force is applied. If you press too hard, the toothbrush immediately flashes a red warning light, sends a vibration alert, and automatically reduces its power output to protect your gums.

Gizmochina reports that the device pairs with the Mijia app for greater customisation. Users can fine-tune power levels and motion settings to create personalised brushing modes.

Xiaomi provides two distinct copper-free cushioned brush heads. The standard cleaning head uses crescent-shaped bristles to tackle plaque, while the gum care head features a circular bristle layout.

The company also states the toothbrush can last up to 180 days in soft mode or 100 days in standard mode on a single charge. It recharges via USB-C, and a quick two-minute top-up provides enough power for one complete brushing session. The body itself is IPX8 waterproof.

The new toothbrush is scheduled for release in China on September 10 for 269 yuan, which translates to about Rs 3,300. While Xiaomi does sell select smart toothbrushes in India, it’s unclear if this one would launch here.
