Xiaomi’s first attempt at a car was the stunning electric SU7, which we saw at MWC 2025 earlier this year. Now, the Chinese brand is following up with a luxury SUV that promises sports car-esque performance levels. Enter the Xiaomi YU7.
It’s pronounced ‘YU’, which references to the Chinese phrase for ‘riding the wind’, and the aggressive styling stays true to that. The sporty body is curvy with sharp lines, a tapering roofline, flush door handles, and signature waterdrop headlights. There are nine paint options to choose from including a standout green.
For the auto nerds, the YU7 is 4,999mm long, 1,996mm wide, 1,600mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 3,000mm. Depending on the variant you choose, the SUV will come with either 19-inch or 20-inch wheels, complemented by sporty-looking alloys.
Xiaomi YU7 key features
It’s a Xiaomi car, which only means that it will be packed with smart features. The moment you step into the car, you’re greeted by what the company calls a ‘HyperVision’ dashboard.
This 1.1-metre-wide dashboard comprises of three Mini LED screens with 108 PPD retina-level resolution. You get everything from driving data, multimedia controls to a range of customisable widgets.

There’s also a 16.1-inch centre controller screen that offers a range of features, and is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. This promises blinding boot up times – as low as 1.35 seconds.
Xiaomi YU7 performance
Under the hood is a HyperEngine V6s Plus engine that offers up to 690PS and 528Nm of torque. In simpler words, this SUV will accelerate like a sports car with 0-100 kmph achieved in 3.23 seconds, and a top speed of over 250 kmph.
Depending on the variant you choose, there will be three battery pack options, and the driving range offered are between 760 to 835 km. When you do need to juice up the battery pack, there’s support for 5.2C speeds. This enables the battery to be charged from 10-80 per cent in just 12 minutes. Needless to say, you won’t be getting any range anxiety on your road trips.

Xiaomi YU7 pricing and availability
Xiaomi hasn’t yet revealed the pricing for the YU7. The only official word out is that the SUV will be going on sale in July 2025.
