Next-gen Apple AirPods Pro may launch today alongside the new iPhones

It’s been a long time since Apple launched a pair of AirPods Pro. The existing Apple AirPods Pro 2 were launched back in 2022, which is three years ago. This year, however, we are expected to get the third generation of the AirPods. And, they are expected to launch alongside the iPhone series tonight. Here’s everything you need to know.

According to a popular analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s next-gen AirPods, possibly called the AirPods Pro 3, may receive a lot of interest as it’s coming after a three-year gap. Having said that, both the first-generation and the second-generation AirPods Pro users are expected to switch to the new third-generation model.

Reports suggest that the AirPods Pro 3 will bring big upgrades. While it’s unclear if there will be any major design changes, what we know is that the earbuds may feature support for heart rate monitoring. Notably, this exact feature debuted with Powerbeats Pro 2, so it’s already tried and tested.

What’s more? The earbuds may also let users test their hearing, and if any issues are detected, it may recommend them to go to the doctors. More rumours hint at a temperature sensor for real-time health tracking and the new H3 chipset for better connectivity.

The AirPods Pro 3 may launch at today’s Awe Dropping event that takes place at 10:30 pm IST. Notably, Apple will also launch the new iPhone series and an Apple Watch at the same event.
