Asus ROG Xbox Ally X and Ally: Power meets portability
Both the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X and Ally feature 7-inch Full-HD displays with a 120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits of brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection with DXC anti-reflection coating. Powering these handhelds are AMD’s Ryzen Z2 series chips.
The Ally X equipped with the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme, while the standard Ally runs the Ryzen Z2 A. The Ally X offers 24GB of LPDDR5X memory with a 1TB SSD, and the Ally houses 16GB RAM with 512GB storage, making them powerful portable consoles.
Running on Windows 11 Home, the consoles support Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C with DisplayPort and Power Delivery, a UHS-II MicroSD slot, and a 3.5mm combo jack. This makes them as capable for docked gaming setups as they are for handheld play.
Asus has leaned heavily into Xbox-inspired ergonomics. The consoles feature contoured grips, full-size analogue sticks, ABXY buttons, HD haptics, a six-axis IMU, and responsive triggers for precise control.
