Top 5 best smartwatch for iPhone users in 2025

The Apple Watch is one of the most well integrated devices in the Apple ecosystem. It’s not just a watch, but a kind of mini iPhone with a tonne of fitness tracking features.

The Apple Watch offers voice calling and messaging, the ability to respond to notifications, camera control, auto-unlock of Macs when you’re within range, has a flashlight of sorts, is completely weather resistant and can be taken swimming, tracks a plethora of fitness data, and so much more. It’s an amazing accessory and a must-have in the Apple ecosystem. If you’re in the market for one, here are the best smartwatches for iPhone.

Apple Watch Series 11

The de-facto Apple Watch is the Series 11. This watch improves on the previous model with an even larger face thanks to thinner bezels, and offers all the features you’d expect from any Apple Watch. This includes features like sleep-apnea and cycle tracking, and a blood oxygen meter. It’s fast, powerful, very slick, and the best Apple Watch for just about anyone.

Apple Watch Ultra 3

The Ultra 3 is a step up from the Series 11. The body is more rugged and designed for rough-use. The display hits a whopping 3000 nits, battery life is an incredible 36 hours, and the addition of sensors like a depth gauge, water temperature sensor, and a more precise dual-frequency GPS. The screen is also much larger and renders more data.

The Ultra 3 is expensive and meant for the more adventurous types, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have it just because you like it.

Apple Watch SE 3

The 3rd Gen Apple Watch SE is for those who need a watch but don’t want to pay the premium for a Series 10 or Ultra 2. The Watch SE uses a slightly older design with thicker bezels. The chipset inside is the S10 for handling performance.

The SE is also missing some sensors when compared to the series 10, this includes the ECG, SpO2 meter, and temperature and cycle tracking features. Still, these are features that most people won’t use in their everyday life, and the lack of so many additional sensors and features keeps the price down to a more reasonable level.

Apple Watch Series 10

If you don’t want to splurge on a Series 11, consider buying an Apple Watch Series 10. It’s largely the same as the more expensive Series 11, differing primarily in the size of bezels and the quality of the display.

Apple Watch Ultra

In the same vein as the Series 9, the Apple Watch Ultra offers largely similar features to the Ultra 2, but at a lower price tag. Missing are the 3000-nit display (you get a 2000-nit one), and it comes with the older S9 processor.

Everything else is virtually identical, making the older Ultra a no-brainer if you don’t care overmuch for the Ultra 2’s features. You’ll usually find these at a steep discount over the regular Apple Watch Ultra 2, but we’d recommend caution as it’ll be difficult to get a new model.

Android smartwatches and watches from other brands can sometimes work with an iPhone, but there are usually so many connectivity hitches that it’s far easier to stick within Apple’s ecosystem on this one.
