The latest patch for BGMI has gone live, and it’s bringing a whole fantasy-themed mode called Primewood Genesis. It carries the version number 4.2 and basically turns the battle royale into something that feels more like a magical adventure game. Not to mention those motorcycles, which we’ll talk about later.
A fly-around mode and two new cruiser bikes
The big highlight here is the new Primewood Genesis mode, which introduces something called the Tree of Life alongside a Corrupting Flower. That flower releases poison that will instantly eliminate any player who touches it, so you’ll want to keep your distance from those.
The mode also adds a Golden Fruit item that gives you a bulletproof jacket protecting you until its health runs out, and it can even revive you if you get knocked down.
The companion system is getting some love too. Players can now roll with a Thorn Scorpion or a Cherry Blossom Deer, and both of these come with their own special abilities. There’s also this new Prime Eye feature that grants powers like Barrier, Teleport, and Heal.
Then there’s another major addition called Flora Wings, which literally let you fly around freely. That’s going to change how fights play out in some interesting ways.

Beyond all the fantasy stuff, Krafton made some quality-of-life improvements as well. You can now deploy your parachute just a few metres before hitting the ground, and gyroscope aiming got smoother controls overall.
Metro Royale players aren’t left out either. The Skyhigh Spectacle mode is back, and there’s a new weapon called the Honey Badger that heals you whenever you eliminate an enemy. A fresh Royale Pass is also available with the usual crate coupons and emotes.
Now for the collaboration content. BGMI is partnering with Royal Enfield, and starting January 19, players will be able to ride the Bullet 350 and Continental GT 650 motorcycles in-game.
There’s also Royal Enfield-themed gear available through a SPIN event running from January 19 to 22, featuring items like the Revel 01 Set, a P90 gun skin called Bullet Line, the CrankGuard helmet, and the Roadborn Rucksack backpack.
