Bose QuietComfort Ultra launched: Best features to level up your music sessions

There are headphones you find at departmental stores, which are good for casual music listening, but will usually leave audiophiles wanting more. Then there are premium headphones which focus on high-res audio playback armed with precise tuning, multiple software features and more. Bose, known for its premium headphones, has recently launched the QuietComfort Ultra headphones in India.

If you’ve been following the audio space for a while, you’ve probably been waiting for these headphones to be available in India, and starting today, you can finally get your hands on one. But what exactly makes the Bose QuietComfort so special? Here’s a look at the best features of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones.

Spatial Audio

The Bose QuietComfort Ultra comes with support for Spatial Audio, which means when you’re using the products with a supported device and platform, you can actually add a sense of direction to your audio playback. Movies you watch on your TV, for instance, will have the sound coming from the direction of your TV, even when you’re wearing the headphones.

CustomTune support

CustomTune support on the Bose headphones ensures you get the best Noise Cancellation experience possible. Automatically taking into account factors like the shape of your ear and external ambient sound, the headphones will adapt its sound stage to maximise your music and reduce distractions.

Multi-point connectivity

Connecting Bluetooth headphones to just your phone is just not enough in 2024. These headphones come with multi-point support and allow you to connect them to both your phone and your laptop. This lets users maintain a balance between playback and alerts, and the headphones will be able to automatically pause movies or songs on one device when you get an incoming call on the other.

24-hour battery life

Battery life is usually not a feature, but neither is the ability to listen to music for a whole day without taking a charging break. The Bose headphones come with 24-hour battery life, allowing users to use the headphones for multiple days, or one really long day, with just one charging session.

Multiple sound modes

The QuietComfort Ultra also come with multiple Sound Modes that you can switch between depending on your surroundings and preferences. These include Quiet Mode, which cuts out unwanted surrounding noises for the best treble and bass performance, and Aware Mode, which lets you enjoy your music while still being fully aware of your surroundings.

App support

For pretty much everything else that the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones have to offer, there is the Bose Music app, which lets you control Sound Modes, Noise Cancellation, and all other features that the headphones have to offer.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra – Other features, pricing and availability

The QuietComfort Ultra come with removable cushions for easy cleaning and maintenance, IPX4 water resistance, and built-in noise cancelling microphones. Users also get a USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable and an audio cable. The headphones can charge completely in three hours and offer a range of 30 meters.
