Moving into a new place usually hurts the wallet, especially when you have to buy electronics. You generally expect to drop lakhs just to get the basics running. But Croma has been releasing some aggressively priced gear lately. We crunched the numbers and realised you can outfit an entire apartment – we are talking AC, TV, Fridge, the works – for under Rs 1 lakh.
Croma 1.5 Ton 3 Star Inverter Split AC (Rs 28,990)
This 1.5-ton unit is surprisingly affordable for a split AC with inverter technology.

That tech essentially adjusts the compressor speed to maintain temperature efficiently rather than just turning on and off. It runs quietly and saves power. The standout feature here is the 7-in-1 convertible mode. You can manually toggle the cooling capacity down. This helps immensely when it is just you in the room and you want to lower your electricity bill.
Croma 43-inch Full HD LED Smart Linux TV (Rs 15,490)
For just over fifteen grand, getting a smart TV of this size is a steal.
It runs on Linux, which is an open-source operating system known for being lightweight and snappy. You get a bezel-less design that looks properly modern on a wall. While it is not 4K, the Full HD panel looks sharp enough at this size. The sound is decent too, thanks to Dolby Audio support. This makes movies sound punchy without needing a soundbar.
Croma 185 Litres 2 Star Direct Cool Refrigerator (Rs 12,590)
If you live alone or with a partner, this is plenty. It is a direct cool fridge, meaning it relies on natural convection to cool things down inside.
Croma 185 Litres 2 Star Direct Cool Single Door Refrigerator with Anti Fungal Gasket (CRLR185DCC008902, Criss Cross Metallic Grey)

You get a decent vegetable basket and a special gasket. That rubber seal on the door prevents fungi from growing there. It keeps food fresh for longer. The metallic grey finish actually looks quite nice in a kitchen, blending in better than the usual boring white boxes.
Croma 6.5 kg 5 Star Top Load Washing Machine (Rs 11,994)
Doing laundry manually is the worst but this washing machine is here to help.
This top-loader handles a 6.5kg load, which is roughly enough for three or four days of clothes. It has a 5-star energy rating too, meaning it consumes very little power during a cycle. You get ten different wash programs, which let you treat delicate fabrics gently or really scrub dirty jeans without ruining them. It even has a child lock to stop kids from messing with the settings.
Croma 7L RO + UV + UF Water Purifier (Rs 7,999)
You really cannot trust tap water these days. This purifier uses RO, UV, and UF filtration.

Those stand for Reverse Osmosis, Ultraviolet, and Ultrafiltration – basically three different ways to kill bacteria and remove heavy metals. It holds seven litres of water at a time. It also works with high TDS water sources. This handles water from tankers or borewells easily, making it safe to drink immediately.
Croma 15 Litres 5 Star Storage Geyser (Rs 6,499)
A cold shower in January is brutal, but this geyser is here to save the day.
It stores fifteen litres of hot water, which is enough for a long, guilt-free shower. It uses a copper heating element, too. Copper transfers heat really fast, so you do not have to wait ages for the water to get warm. It can handle high pressure too. This makes it safe for high-rise apartment buildings where water pressure can sometimes burst weaker tanks.
Croma 20L Solo Microwave Oven (Rs 5,390)
Sometimes you just need to reheat leftovers quickly. That’s where this “solo” microwave comes in.
Solo means it is built strictly for heating and defrosting rather than baking complex cakes. It fits twenty litres inside, too. You control the device with simple knobs rather than confusing touchpads. It has a temperature sensor too. This prevents the unit from overheating if you accidentally leave it running for too long while distracted.
Croma 1200W Dry Vacuum Cleaner (Rs 4,699)
Keeping a flat clean is surprisingly hard work. This vacuum sucks up dust with 1200 watts of power, which is plenty for tile and hardwood.
It uses a HEPA filter, a fine mesh that traps harmful allergens like pollen instead of blowing them back into the air. It is bagless too, meaning you just detach the dust cup and dump the dirt straight into the bin without making a mess.
Croma 1600W Induction Cooktop (Rs 1,999)
Gas cylinders are a hassle to refill. This induction cooktop plugs straight into a wall socket.
It heats pots using magnetic fields, which is way faster than a traditional stove. You get five preset menus for Indian cooking. These automatically adjust the heat for things like making dosas or boiling milk.

It saves a lot of counter space too since you can just store it away when you are done cooking.
Croma 500 Watt Mixer Grinder (Rs 1,799)
No Indian kitchen works without a mixie. This one comes with three stainless steel jars for chutneys, spices, and batters.
The 500-watt motor is strong enough for daily grinding tasks, but it has overload protection built in, too. But even if you do stuff too much coconut in there, the motor cuts off automatically to save itself from burning out.
Conclusion
We grabbed an AC, a smart TV, a fridge, a washing machine, a purifier, a geyser, a microwave, a vacuum, an induction cooktop, and a mixer. That is literally every appliance a house needs to function comfortably. And yet, the total comes to exactly Rs 97,449. Yep, you still have change left over for a nice dinner to celebrate not being broke.
