Croma Velocity GF: A smartwatch designed for women on the move

Blending style, functionality and health tracking, the Croma Velocity GF is built for women who do it all

Croma Velocity GF: A smartwatch designed for women on the move

For a long time, smartwatches have been designed with a one-size-fits-all approach – often oversized, tech-heavy, and focused on fitness tracking above all else. But wearables are evolving, and brands are finally paying attention to the way women actually use technology.

The Croma Velocity GF smartwatch is a step in this direction, offering a design that blends functionality with an understanding of women’s daily routines.

A smartwatch that adapts to multiple roles

This new Croma smartwatch is designed to transition seamlessly between the demands of work, wellness, and social life. A smartwatch that fits effortlessly into a morning workout, a packed day of meetings, and an evening out, isn’t just about convenience; it’s about recognising that technology should adapt to women’s lifestyles.

One of the most significant ways wearables are evolving is through more intuitive health tracking. While heart rate, SpO2, and fitness tracking have long been standard, newer devices are incorporating features like menstrual cycle tracking. These additions acknowledge that women’s health is more complex than just calories burned, or hours slept.

The Croma Velocity GF smartwatch doesn’t just predict your menstrual cycle dates, but it goes one step further and predicts ovulation dates. It is an invaluable feature for those tracking their cycle on a regular basis. It can assist women attempting to conceive or those monitoring their PCOS/PCOD symptoms.

Having a device that can track patterns, predict cycles, and provide insights allows for a more holistic approach to wellness. One that isn’t just about achieving a fitness goal but also about understanding how the body functions in everyday life.

Incorporating features that matter at a competitive price

Beyond health, the way we interact with technology is also changing. Smartwatches are becoming less about looking down at screens and more about quick, seamless interactions.

Priced competitively at Rs 2,799, the Croma Velocity GF packs an array of utilitarian features that make a difference to one’s day-to-day life. Gesture control, for example, allows users to answer or reject calls with a flick of the wrist, reducing the need to fumble with buttons or taps.

Similarly, the integration of Bluetooth calling and music control reflects how smartwatches are stepping up as standalone devices rather than just extensions of a smartphone. The Dynamic Island feature is a standout, allowing users to check messages and other notifications with ease.

Moreover, the Velocity GF smartwatch features a large 1.32-inch AMOLED display with Always On functionality and 600 nits of brightness. It also comes with an IP68 rating, meaning it is resistant to dust and water. So, you don’t need to worry about damage if you accidentally soak your smartwatch.

The watch has a promised battery backup of 3-5 days, and it features a stylish digital crown to control watch functions.

Style that doesn’t compromise functionality

Aesthetics still matter, but they no longer have to come at the expense of functionality. While earlier smartwatches for women were often restricted to neutral or pastel-coloured silicone bands, the Croma Velocity GF breaks away from those limitations.

It comes with two interchangeable straps in the retail box – a silicone band for casual wear and a metallic strap for a more polished look. This gives women the flexibility to match their smartwatch to their style, whether it’s for a workout, a workday, or a night out. Both straps are Rose Gold in colour, which look quite chic.

With International Women’s Day around the corner, it’s a good time to appreciate how tech is finally catching up with the way women live their lives. At the end of the day, the best tech isn’t just about fancy features; it’s about making everyday life a little easier.
