The DJI Osmo Pocket 4 has been making rounds in leaks for quite some time, and now the company has finally confirmed that it will globally debut next week. While the official reveal is just around the corner, early details already hint at several meaningful upgrades over the previous generation.
Launch timeline and expected camera upgrades
DJI has confirmed that the Osmo Pocket 4 will be unveiled on April 16 at 12 PM GMT. The teaser does not reveal much, but it hints at improvements related to the camera sensor.
Recent leaks have revealed that Osmo Pocket 4 will feature a 1-inch sensor capable of delivering up to 14 stops of dynamic range, which should help in better low-light shots and improved highlight control. The camera is also tipped to support 10-bit D-Log recording, making it more suitable for creators who prefer colour grading in post-production.
Additional features such as 2x lossless zoom and ActiveTrack 7.0 are expected to further improve usability, especially for vloggers and content creators who rely on tracking and framing.
Another notable upgrade could be the inclusion of 107GB of built-in storage, along with transfer speeds of up to 800MB per second. This could make file transfers significantly quicker compared to earlier models. Interestingly, some reports suggest that the device may not include a microSD card slot this time.
In terms of design, the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 is expected to retain its compact form factor with a three-axis stabilised camera and a rotatable touchscreen. While earlier rumours pointed towards a dual-camera setup, recent information suggests that the standard version may feature a single camera, with a possible Pro variant introducing additional flexibility.
DJI Osmo Pocket 4 price (rumoured)
Pricing is not officially confirmed yet, but global estimates suggest it could be priced around $499 (~Rs 46,300) and $599 (~Rs 55,560), while the Creator Combo may cost between $649 (~Rs 60,200) and $749 (~Rs 69,480).
