Dyson shrinks its iconic tech into the new HushJet Mini Cool handheld fan

The HushJet Mini Cool marks a new direction for Dyson as the brand steps into personal cooling devices. The compact fan brings a familiar bladeless design into a handheld form, hinting at a shift towards more portable lifestyle gadgets. Dyson HushJet Mini Cool features and design

The Dyson HushJet Mini Cool carries forward Dyson’s bladeless airflow design, with all moving components enclosed within its cylindrical body. Measuring just 38mm in diameter, the device remains compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry or even wear around the neck using the included lanyard.

It is powered by a high-speed brushless DC motor capable of reaching up to 65,000rpm, producing airflow speeds of up to 55mph. Users can switch between multiple speed levels, including a Boost mode for stronger airflow. The adjustable nozzle can direct air upwards or at an angle, allowing hands-free cooling when worn.

Battery life is rated at up to six hours depending on usage, supported by a 5,000mAh battery. Noise levels range from about 52dBA on lower settings to over 70dBA at peak performance. Dyson has also worked on reducing high-pitched sound frequencies through its nozzle design for a more comfortable listening experience.

Dyson HushJet Mini Cool price and availability

The Dyson HushJet Mini Cool is priced at $99 (approximately Rs 8,200), making it one of the brand’s more accessible products. With summers right around the corner, it will be interesting to see how soon Dyson brings this product to India.

For now, it will be made available starting April 9 in select markets. Buyers will be able to choose from stone and blush colour options, with additional shades like red and blue variants expected in the coming months.

The device ships with accessories such as a charging stand, USB-C cable, and a lanyard for hands-free use. Additional attachments like mounts and clips are expected to arrive later, expanding its usability across different scenarios.
