Google has officially unleashed Nano Banana Pro, its smartest and most visually capable AI image model yet, and it arrives armed with Gemini 3 Pro’s reasoning power, multilingual text rendering, and the ability to generate up to 4K images.
It’s capable of studio-level image generation, hyper-accurate captions in any script, real-world knowledge, and fine-grained creative control; all inside Google’s ecosystem, from Gemini to Google Ads.
Nano Banana Pro powered by Gemini 3 Pro
The big upgrade lies under the hood. Nano Banana Pro now runs on Gemini 3 Pro instead of last year’s 2.5 model, effectively blending AI image generation with contextual reasoning and world awareness. That means the AI does not just draw, it actually understands.

It can reference real-time weather, sports, or global events, generate infographics and diagrams, convert scribbled notes into visual mock-ups, or even maintain consistent visual style across up to 14 reference images.
For creators, marketers, educators, and enterprises, it brings new precision tools like camera-angle shifts, lighting adjustments, localised edits, and layout changes, making it feel more like a creative partner than a generator.
It supports text rendering directly within images in multiple languages; so, it can easily mockup say billboards in Japanese, posters in Arabic, or mood boards with handwritten-style fonts across scripts.
It is also more generous with output quality. 2K and 4K image downloads are now possible, and yes, you can request print-ready visuals straight from the prompt.
Gemini Nano Banana Pro rollout and availability
Nano Banana Pro begins rolling out globally, but access depends on subscription tiers. Free users get a limited number of generations before falling back to the older Gemini 2.5 Pro model. Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers enjoy higher rate limits, with Ultra users also getting watermark-free images for professional use.
The tool appears across the Gemini app, Google Workspace, Ads, and even NotebookLM for paid users outside the US. In AI Mode inside Search, availability is currently restricted to paid users in the US.
Google embeds SynthID in all generated images for watermark verification, but only higher-tier users can erase visible marks for clean commercial outputs.
So yes, Nano Banana Pro is Google’s most capable image engine yet; one that does not just make pictures but understands why you want them. Let us know what you think of Nano Banana Pro in the comments below, and stay tuned to Unboxed by Croma for all things tech.
